Registration is coming up, decisions decisions. I want to psych of gender, but I also want to take a genre class from English about why we think the future is gonna be blown to bits or ruled by dictators. But that'd leave me with 6 classes, with 4 on mondays. And the whole, getting up at 8 a.m. and not getting back at my dorm till 9 p.m. every other day was kinda kickin my ass as it was.... Grr. It's not like it could get much worse, seeing as most of this semester was really fun, even with the whole, getting 12 hours of sleep in the last 5 days. I hope we can keep up our mario party/ diddy kong racing after classes and Firefly Thursday. (who knows what we're gonna end up calling those thursdays...)

Anyway, over winter break I'm pry gonna start a review blog... heeeh. And playing mass amounts of TF2. And hanging out with KC. <3

Cosplay is gonna kinda be kept minimal so I can afford to make shit for the convention.

Oh yeah, Jak4 came out. Or Jak and Daxter and the lost frontier, whatev. It wasn't bad, but... it wasn't great either. It was terribly average. Jak is no longer mentally unstable (sadly), but in this game he can't use dark eco because there's too much of it and nothing to balance him out, and it might kill him. Or something. It's kinda vague. Actually, the whole plot is rather vague. You just kinda go from mission to mission because they tell you to without telling you much of why, and maybe we just didn't listen enough or something, 'cuz there were times Mia and I went "wat" over stuff happening. Luckily, the missions are rather fun, and the game did what I wanted which was to have those pretty pretty guns, and what Mia wanted, which was to play with eco like in the first game. However... it's average. You want more, you want to have the sort of gun upgrades from the 3rd game (c'mon, they give you a fucking NUKE.) But the eco was intuitive, even with Jak becoming rocketman by shooting yellow eco exhaust from his hands, which was hella funny. But it felt like you didn't have reason to use the eco very often.... so eh. They also set up a character that's mildly interesting and you kinda would like to know, but they don't give him much character development then kill him at the end of the game, so you just kinda feel like it was pointless. Or badly done. Or something. Daxter gets dosed with s'more dark eco and turns into an 8-foot taz the tazmanian devil which was pretty fun, especially spinning. But Jak's reaction to it was so nonchalant, it pissed me off. Seriously, you go dark and have a freak out, and your best buddy goes dark and it's a-okay? Dude. Jak would've at least shown some concern. While we're at it, Jak and Keira kissing felt tacked on, especially since the bitch had wanted the other guy for like the entire game, was a total bitch to you, brushing everything you did off. Jesus Jak, get a new girl. One who isn't a fucking harpy. Anyway, anyone who liked Jak would pry get some enjoyment out of the game, the platforming is fun and they replaced racing with airship missions which weren't half bad, although a few were tedious. Also, the final boss was anti-climatic and they set themselves up for a sequel, which was annoying. Though, this game wasn't made by the original developer of Naughty Dog, so it's somewhat forgivable.
